Celeste Wiley Audio Transcript

I guess, back in my childhood days, I somehow, at some point in time, I swore in my soul that I would tell this story wherever I went, because so many people were not aware that this had occurred on such a monumental level. I mean, you're talking about an entire county shut their schools because white people did not want their children associating with black people, I mean, for something as ridiculous as that. And yet I've lived through those Jim Crow times. So I just appreciate this opportunity to tell the story again and hopefully it will reach as many people as possible to let them know that this was not that long ago.
